The XA B is an acrylic entry-level turntable for Pro-Ject's X-Series. Its aluminium tonearm and platter seem to float on an almost invisible slab of acrylic, and the balanced 5-pin DIN phono output and Pick it PRO Balanced cartridge give it True Balanced capability.
Acrylic and Aluminium: Pro-Ject has used acrylic since its first acrylic turntable, but too much damping can make sound dry. The XA B combines the acrylic plinth with an aluminium tonearm and platter, a matched cartridge and special feet to keep it lively.
True Balanced: The "B" stands for balanced. The Pick it PRO Balanced lets an MM cartridge use the full balanced signal through the balanced 5-pin DIN output, with Pro-Ject's True Balanced cables and phono stages such as the Phono Box S3 B or DS3 B.
Tonearm: The full aluminium tonearm base lets you adjust azimuth and VTA to get the most out of the cartridge.
