17" High-Excursion Driver: The PB17-Ultra R|Evolution shares its all-new proprietary 17" long-throw driver with the SB17-Ultra R|Evolution — a glass fiber composite cone and dual 8" voice coils on bifilar copper-clad aluminum windings, tuned instead for a ported enclosure and even greater output.
Triple-Ported Cabinet: Three 4" ports on the front baffle provide substantial airflow, extending useable bass well below the threshold of human hearing while keeping port noise and chuffing under control at high output levels.
Dual Monoblock Amplifier: A combined 2,800 watts RMS (6,000+ watts peak) from the dual-mono amplifier platform drives each voice coil independently, backed by a high-speed DSP for precise control across the full output range.
Heavily Braced Ported Cabinet: A robust MDF cabinet with strategic internal bracing controls resonance despite the higher internal pressures generated by the ported design and the driver's massive excursion.
6-Band Parametric EQ & Auto Room EQ: The onboard DSP platform provides a 6-band parametric equalizer with adjustable frequency, gain, and Q per band, plus Auto Room EQ that uses a connected smartphone's microphone to measure and automatically correct the in-room frequency response.
Balanced and Unbalanced Connections: Both unbalanced RCA (10kΩ input impedance, up to 4Vrms) and balanced XLR (14kΩ input impedance, up to 14Vrms/+24dBu) line-level/LFE inputs are provided for consumer and professional-grade source equipment.
Selectable Extension Modes: The port tuning can be adjusted between Standard, Extended, and Sealed operating modes via the app, trading maximum output for deeper low-frequency extension depending on room size and content.
App Control: The free SVS subwoofer app (Apple iOS and Android) provides full wireless control over volume, crossover frequency, phase, parametric EQ, room gain compensation, port tuning mode, and Auto Room EQ from a listening seat.
