The UHD8000 is Zidoo's current flagship media player, built around a new-generation Amlogic S928X-K penta-core processor (Cortex-A76 + A55) with 8GB DDR4 RAM. Two built-in 3.5" HDD bays (up to 16TB each, drives not included) turn it into its own local media server, and the built-in VS10 image quality engine handles Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG processing at up to 8K 60Hz over HDMI 2.1.
On the audio side, an XMOS + ESS9069Q DAC hardware-decodes DSD512 and PCM up to 768kHz/32-bit, with Dolby TrueHD Atmos and DTS decoding, output over XLR balanced or RCA analog, or passed through digitally via optical/coaxial. A second HDMI output carries audio and video separately, so a system doesn't need the latest HDMI spec on the receiver just to get full-quality sound alongside 8K video. External BD/DVD/CD drives are supported for playback and ripping.
