Precision Belt Drive with Inverted Platter Bearing System: The Pro-Ject RPM 5 Carbon features a precision belt-drive system powered by a quiet-running synchronous motor, supporting both 33-1/3 and 45 rpm speeds. Its low-resonance MDF chassis houses a newly designed inverted platter bearing with a ceramic ball to further reduce rumble. The acoustically inert platter is crafted from acrylic and comes with a felt mat.
Outboard Motor & External Power Supply: An outboard 15V AC motor with an external stand is smoothly driven by an ultra-precision AC generator and DC power supply, enhancing speed stability.
9" Evo Tonearm: The turntable's 9" Evo tonearm, made from carbon fiber, is compatible with high-quality MM and MC cartridges. The Evo tonearm provides precise tracking and efficiently directs parasitic vibrations away from the cartridge area. The headshell and armtube are made from a single piece of conically shaped carbon fiber, minimizing standing wave reflections. Additionally, the inverted bearing, arm bearing, and counterweight are designed to prevent and reject resonance.
Gold-Plated RCA Outputs: The Pro-Ject RPM 5 Carbon includes gold-plated stereo RCA outputs for excellent audio signal transfer and resistance to corrosion. A high-quality stereo RCA cable is provided. Pro-Ject’s Connect-it-E cable is a semi-balanced, low-capacitance cable with superior shielding. You can also upgrade to an even higher quality cable if preferred.
Damped & Height Adjustable Feet: The RPM 5 Carbon stands on three height-adjustable, damped aluminum "tip-toe" feet, which optimize vibration behavior and ensure the turntable remains level and stable for high-performance sound.
MDF Plinth with High Gloss Finish: The Pro-Ject RPM 5 Carbon's attractive, low-resonance MDF plinth is available in three high-gloss color finishes: Black, White, or Red.

If the shipping box shows signs of physical damage, we recommend inspecting the product while the shipping company is present. However, should the product itself show signs of damage, it must be refused at the time of delivery for an RMA. Products not refused due to damage at the time of delivery will not be eligible for RMAs.
