Its Hyper-Dynamic Amplifier Module (HDAM) circuit board is custom-curated from hundreds of individually selected parts and tuned by Marantz's Sound Master for the exquisite detail the brand is known for.
A newly engineered SACDM-3L transport mechanism handles SACD, CD, CD-R/RW, and DVD±R/RW discs, recognizing up to 1,000 folders and 2,000 files per folder on a data disc of high-res or compressed files. The disc drive's power supply switches off automatically when not in use, keeping that circuitry from adding any noise to network or USB playback. Playing SACD delivers a frequency response of 2Hz-50kHz with 109dB dynamic range and 0.0008% THD, while standard CD playback covers 2Hz-20kHz at 104dB signal-to-noise.
Digital optical and coaxial inputs and outputs, USB-A and USB-B inputs, an RCA analog output, and a 1/4" headphone jack round out the connections. Built-in Ethernet and Wi-Fi cover wired or wireless network setup, with a remote control included. Track programming (up to 25 tracks), random play, and direct track access are all supported for disc playback.
