11.4-channel home theater receiver featuring Dolby Atmos®, Bluetooth®, Apple AirPlay® 2, and Amazon Alexa compatibility (Black)
Marantz just introduced their flagship receiver, the Cinema 30. This good-looking receiver has plenty of juice - 140 watts with two channels driven - to bring your movies and music to life. With state-of-the-art 8K video compatibility, 11 discrete amplifier channels, and four subwoofer outputs, it lets you enjoy an engrossing cinematic experience without having to drive to the local cinema.
Hyper-Dynamic Amplifier Modules deliver Marantz's warm, detailed signature sound. Rounding out the high-tech goodness, a high-end digital-to-analog converter decodes high-resolution music files with razor-sharp accuracy. The copper chassis is a nice audiophile detail that Marantz reserves for their best home theater receivers.
More bass? Yes please! For the discerning bass aficionado, Marantz has included four subwoofer outputs on its premium receivers. Your most bass-heavy music and rumbling movie soundtracks will have exciting new depth. Using multiple powered subs obviously gives you more bass, but also more balanced bass. Choose the "Standard" subwoofer setting for evenly distributed bass performance throughout the room, or "Directional" to tailor each sub's bass performance to the closest speaker.
Marantz included Audyssey MultEQ® XT32, one of the industry's best room-correction platforms, to calibrate the receiver's audio performance. You also have the option to purchase and download the Dirac Live® advanced speaker calibration program to your Mac® or PC. Fine-tune the output of your system to match the unique sonic characteristics of your space and bring your surround sound to exciting new heights.
This receiver also lets you stream tunes from your phone or tablet through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Apple AirPlay 2. Use the built-in phono input to hook up your turntable. You can even play high-resolution tracks from a USB drive or networked computer.
HEOS Built-in technology lets you access all kinds of different content through the Cinema 30. Listen to internet radio stations, or to popular subscription services like Pandora® , Spotify® , and TIDAL.
You can integrate the Cinema 30 into a wireless multi-room audio system with compatible speakers or streaming components. It will also show up in your player list if you're using Roon (subscription and Roon Core required).

Monolithic Amplifier Design: The Marantz Cinema 30AV receiver delivers audiophile-grade sound thanks to its monolithic amplifier design that features discrete high current output devices on all eleven channels, and all amp channels are configured identically. Rated at 140 watts with 2 channels driven (8 ohm, 0.05%, 20Hz-20kHz), the Cinema 30 has the ability to drive lower impedance 4 ohm speakers on all channels. The AV receiver's amplifier section employs Marantz's exclusive HDAM technology and Current Feed Topology, as well as a large toroidal transformer for exceptional sound quality, dynamic range, and clarity.
AAmplifier Assignment: The Cinema 30's eleven discrete amplifier channels can be configured to accommodate your type of home theater setup. Its powerful DSP is even capable of up to 13.2 channel processing, allowing you to extend the system with an additional power amplifier.
Advanced 32-Bit D/A Conversion On All Channels: For optimum fidelity and the widest dynamic range with lowest distortion, the SR8015 features advanced reference-class 32-bit/192kHz digital-to-analog converters (DACs) on all channels. This ensures consistent high fidelity and precise channel matching across all channels for the ultimate listening experience. In addition, the receiver utilizes a Hybrid PLL Clock Jitter Reducer to eliminate distortion caused by jitter errors for a more accurate reproduction of the recording the way the artist intended.
Powerful DSP: The Marantz Cinema 30 features two sets of powerful DSP (Digital Sound Processor) chips for the latest surround sound decoding and processing, including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. The AV receiver supports the following stereo & multichannel digital audio formats through its HDMI jacks and optical/coax digital inputs.
Immersive Surround Sound: The Marantz Cinema 30 AV receiver goes beyond regular surround with the latest immersive surround sound formats from Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Front Wide, and AURO-3D. The Cinema 30 offers 11-channels of amplification with support for up to 13.4 channel processing, allowing you to configure a 5.4.2, 5.4.4, 7.4.2, 7.4.4, 9.4.2, or 9.4.4* channel speaker system. A 9.4.4* channel speaker system will require an additional 2ch amplifier (sold separately).

Audyssey Suite with Dual Presets: The Cinema 30 features the Audyssey suite of powerful DSP features - including MultEQ XT32, Sub EQ HT, LFC (Low Frequency Containment), Dynamic Volume, and Dynamic EQ. The newly adopted Dual Audyssey Preset function allows you to store and instantly switch between two Audyssey configurations. For example, you can store both the Audyssey calibration result straight from the receiver and a customized MultEQ curve or frequency range made through the Audyssey MultEQ editor app on the receiver simultaneously, allowing you to easily compare differences and select your preference. You can also perform Audyssey measurements for two different speaker settings, including 2.0 for music listening and 5.1.4 for movie surround.
Note: You have the option to upgrade to Dirac Live (paid subscription) an advanced state-of-the-art digital room correction software that utilizes your Windows PC or Mac computer and a 3rd party USB microphone (sold separately) to analyze your speakers and listening room for optimum speaker performance and the removal of unwanted sound colorations introduced by the room. The result is substantially improved soundstaging, clarity, and voice intelligibility.
Listening Modes: The Marantz Cinema 30 features a variety of Listening modes to choose from, so you can enjoy your music or movie soundtrack the way you want to hear it.
Audio Enhancements: The Marantz Cinema 30 receiver provides various audio enhancements to deliver a high-quality listening experience every time.
Volume & Level Settings: The Marantz Cinema 30 offers the following volume & level settings.
eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel): This feature of the AV receiver's main HDMI monitor output allows audio to be sent from your compatible TV to the receiver through the same HDMI cable already being used to send audio and video to your TV. This eliminates the need for extra cables connected to your television. eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) will support uncompressed audio formats like Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, & DTS HD Master Audio - whereas the previous ARC (Audio Return Channel) was limited to only Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS, DTS HD, and PCM.
Note: Supported content will be dependent on whether your TV features a HDMI eARC or ARC jack.
Pre-Amplifier Mode with 13.4ch Pre-Outs: With Pre-Amplifier Mode, the Marantz Cinema 30 can work as an AV pre-processor with the latest HDMI connectivity to upgrade and modernize your AV separate system. Pre-Amplifier Mode provides a cleaner signal path and more tolerance in clipping level by disconnecting the AV receiver's internal amplifiers, when the receiver is used as an AV processor and all speakers are powered by external amplifiers. The Cinema 30 receiver features 13.2ch variable pre-amp outputs (Front L/R, Center, Surround L/R, Surround Back L/R, Height 1 L/R, Height 2 L/R, Front Wide, and Quad Subs) for connection of external power amplifiers to create a 7.4.6ch or 9.4.4ch Dolby Atmos/DTS:X sound system.. For compatibility with multiple subwoofer home theater systems, the Cinema 30 features four discrete subwoofer outputs.
Note: You can also utilize the AV receiver's pre-outs and speaker outputs simultaneously by not engaging Pre-Amplifier mode.
Color-Coded Speaker Terminals: The receiver has binding-post terminals for all speaker connections. The binding-post terminals can accept bare wire, pin connectors, and banana plugs (single/dual). The receiver will accept speaker impedances of 4 to 16-ohm. The AV receiver comes with color-coded labels to easily identify which channel a speaker cable should be connected to. Since the speaker cables have labels in the same colors as the connectors on the Cinema 30's rear panel, there's no longer any confusion about which terminals they should be connected to.
Headphone Jack: When headphones are plugged into the full-size 1/4" jack on the front panel, all the speaker outputs and pre-outs are automatically muted.
Phono Input: The Marantz Cinema 30 is outfitted with a Phono input (MM), so you can connect your turntable and listen to your vinyl records with high-quality sound.
HDMI 2.1: Featuring seven HDMI inputs and three HDMI outputs, the Cinema 30 incorporates an advanced video section that features some of the latest HDMI 2.1 specifications; including support for 8K/60Hz and 4K/120 Hz video pass-through (up to 40Gbps), HDCP 2.3 compatibility, BT.2020 Wide Color Gamut, and 4:4:4 Pure Color sub-sampling. Use a premium High Speed 18Gbps HDMI cable for the best 4K/HDR performance. Use an Ultra High Speed 48Gbps HDMI cable to enjoy 8K video.
Notes: Make sure to et the AV receiver's "4K/8K Signal Format" to "8K Enhanced" in the menu to enjoy 8K/60Hz or 4K/120Hz video.
Dynamic HDR: HDR provides enhanced picture quality by simultaneously enabling greater detail for both the dark and bright parts of an image. HDR reproduces a greater dynamic range of luminosity or brightness levels, creating greater contrast. This increased contrast reveals the subtle nuances of the image, from detailed blacks and shadows to the brightest whites and colors, plus greater depth. Dynamic HDR enables a noticeable progression in overall video image quality from SDR to static HDR, and now static HDR to dynamic HDR. Dynamic HDR support ensures every moment of a video is displayed at its ideal values for depth, detail, brightness, contrast, and wider color gamuts on a scene-by-scene or even a frame-by-frame basis. Dynamic HDR enhanced content is available for movies, videos, TV shows, video and PC games and VR.
