It brings the same self-amplified, receiver-free design as The Sevens and The Nines down to a size that fits on a desk, credenza, or bedroom shelf, in a low-profile matte black finish.
The active speaker in each pair of The Fives is bi-amped for 160 watts of total system power — 60 watts to each 4-1/2" long-throw woofer and 20 watts to each 1" titanium tweeter. Dynamic Bass EQ boosts low end at lower volumes, so the compact cabinets still deliver a full-range sound at desk or bedside listening levels.
An HDMI ARC input connects to a compatible TV, while a switchable RCA input works as either a line-level connection or a built-in phono preamp for a turntable. Round things out with an optical digital input (2-channel PCM), a USB Type B input for a computer with 24-bit/192kHz decoding, a 3.5mm aux jack for mobile devices, Bluetooth® 5.0 with aptX HD® support, and a mono subwoofer output for adding bass later.
