K-1200M Horn/Tweeter Bridge
At the heart of the RSM-800 is an 8" woofer paired with a 1" titanium compression driver mounted on a K-1200M horn/tweeter bridge. This horn-loaded tweeter arrangement is what lets the RSM-800 hold a 92dB sensitivity rating and a 100° coverage pattern, so a single speaker can throw clear high-frequency detail across a wide covered patio rather than needing several smaller speakers to cover the same area.
Tractrix® Hyperfold Port for Real Bass
The RSM-800’s vented enclosure uses Klipsch’s folded Tractrix® port design, which extends the internal port length inside a compact cabinet without adding to the speaker’s footprint. Combined with the 8" woofer, this gives the RSM-800 a frequency response down to 52Hz ±4dB — enough low-end extension that a stereo pair can genuinely stand on its own outdoors without needing a dedicated subwoofer for most listening.
IPX6-Rated, All-Weather ABS Construction
The RSM-800’s cabinet is molded from all-weather ABS plastic and carries an IPX6 water-resistance rating, meaning it’s built to withstand direct rain and high-pressure water exposure without damage — important for the white finish, which is also fully paintable if you want to blend the speaker into a specific wall colour. A included mounting bracket and dual 5-way binding posts make for a straightforward surface-mount installation.

What’s the difference between the White and Black RSM-800?
They’re acoustically identical — the only difference is the paintable all-weather ABS enclosure colour, white versus black, so you can match the speaker to your exterior wall or trim colour, or paint it to match exactly.
Can the RSM-800 be mounted outdoors without cover, or does it need a roof overhang?
The IPX6 rating means the RSM-800 is built to handle direct rain and heavy water exposure, so it doesn’t require a covered mounting location, though most installations still place it under a soffit, porch roof, or eave for the longest service life.
Do I need a separate subwoofer to pair with the RSM-800?
Not necessarily — with bass extension down to 52Hz, a stereo pair of RSM-800s can sound full on their own for most outdoor listening. If you want dedicated deep bass across a larger space, we can pair them with a PRO-12SW-LS landscape subwoofer.
