K-1200M Horn/Tweeter Bridge
Like the rest of the RSM family, the RSM-525 pairs its 5.25" woofer with a 1" titanium compression driver on a K-1200M horn/tweeter bridge. This horn loading keeps high-frequency dispersion consistent across the listening area rather than beaming narrowly, and contributes to the RSM-525’s 89dB sensitivity rating.
Tractrix® Hyperfold Port
The RSM-525’s enclosure uses Klipsch’s folded Tractrix® port design to extend usable low-frequency output without enlarging the cabinet, giving this compact speaker a frequency response down to 58Hz–20kHz ±4dB despite its size.
IPX6-Rated, All-Weather ABS Construction
The cabinet is molded from all-weather ABS plastic and carries an IPX6 water-resistance rating for direct rain and moisture exposure. The white finish is fully paintable, and the speaker includes a mounting bracket with dual 5-way binding posts for a standard surface-mount installation.

They’re acoustically identical — the only difference is the paintable all-weather ABS enclosure colour, white versus black, so you can match the speaker to your wall or trim colour, or paint it to match exactly.

Yes — the IPX6 rating covers both fully outdoor, weather-exposed locations and damp indoor spaces such as bathrooms, covered kitchens, and mudrooms, which is why Klipsch markets this as an indoor/outdoor speaker rather than an outdoor-only model.
