K-1200M Horn/Tweeter Bridge
Like the rest of the RSM family, the RSM-400 pairs its 4" woofer with a 1" titanium compression driver on a K-1200M horn/tweeter bridge. This horn loading keeps high-frequency dispersion consistent across the listening area rather than beaming narrowly, and contributes to the RSM-400’s 85dB (98dB maximum continuous output) sensitivity rating.
Sealed-Cabinet Design
Unlike the larger RSM models, the RSM-400 uses a sealed-cabinet enclosure rather than a ported design. That trade-off gives up some low-end extension in exchange for a smaller footprint and simpler behind-the-grille construction, which suits the RSM-400’s role as a compact, unobtrusive speaker for tight spaces or background-music zones.
IPX6-Rated, All-Weather ABS Construction
The cabinet is molded from all-weather ABS plastic and carries an IPX6 water-resistance rating for direct rain and moisture exposure. The white finish is fully paintable, and the speaker includes a mounting bracket with dual 5-way binding posts for a standard surface-mount installation.
