  • 98 dB sensitivity, 150W RMS / 600W peak main-channel handling

Klipsch RP-8060FA II in Walnut — Dolby Atmos® Built Into the Tower

The Walnut finish of the Klipsch RP-8060FA II gives you a full Reference Premiere II floorstanding tower, in a warmer wood-grain finish, with an upward-firing Dolby Atmos®-enabled driver built into the top of the cabinet. That height driver bounces sound off your ceiling and back down to your listening position, giving you overhead effects without cutting holes in your ceiling for separate in-ceiling speakers. This Walnut finish is currently sold out at CapitalSound.ca. The RP-8060FA II is still an active, current Klipsch model — this is a stock gap on our end rather than a discontinuation, so get in touch and we can tell you what’s realistic for lead time or point you toward an in-stock alternative.

Revamped Tractrix® Horn and Driver Upgrades

Both the main 1" LTS titanium tweeter and the tweeter built into the Atmos® module sit in Klipsch’s widened Tractrix® horn geometry for a wider sweet spot and smoother, less fatiguing highs. The dual 8" Cerametallic™ main woofers use 70% larger voice coils and aluminum shorting rings versus earlier Reference Premiere towers, for tighter control and lower distortion at higher output.

A Dedicated Height Channel, Not a Bolt-On Add-On

The Atmos® section isn’t just the main tweeter aimed upward — it’s its own sealed, acoustic-suspension enclosure with a 6.5" Cerametallic™ woofer and 1" LTS tweeter, crossed over separately from the main drivers and fed by its own binding post pair so it can be run from a dedicated Atmos® height-channel amplifier output.

Reinforced Cabinet, Dual Rear Ports

Internal bracing divides the main cabinet into sections to reduce resonance, and two rear-firing Tractrix® ports handle low-frequency output with reduced port noise. As with any rear-ported tower, give it a few inches of clearance from the back wall so the ports can breathe properly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the RP-8060FA II in Walnut discontinued?

No — it’s a current Klipsch model. This finish is simply out of stock with us right now. Contact Capital Sound, an authorized Klipsch Canada dealer, and we’ll let you know realistic timing or suggest an in-stock alternative.

Do I still need in-ceiling speakers if I buy the RP-8060FA II?

No — the built-in upward-firing Atmos® driver is designed to replace a dedicated in-ceiling height speaker for that position. Some larger or acoustically tricky rooms still perform better with true in-ceiling speakers, which we’re happy to discuss during a consultation.
