The 12" IMG (Injection Molded Graphite) woofer and its dual voice coil are sealed inside a heavy-duty, high-impact polyethylene body that goes entirely below the soil line, with only the rustproof, UV-resistant aluminum canopy exposed at grade. The band-pass loading of the enclosure is what lets a fully buried 12" driver still produce usable output down to 34Hz ±3dB (extending to 25Hz ±10dB), which is the kind of low-frequency reach that landscape satellite speakers on their own simply cannot deliver.
