Designed to be driven by Klipsch’s matching KA-1000-THX amplifier (sold separately), the KW-120-THX is intended for large or dedicated home theater rooms that need serious, controlled low-frequency output rather than a compact lifestyle subwoofer.
At the heart of the KW-120-THX is a 12" cast-frame, long-throw woofer with a 15-pound magnet structure, built to produce high output with minimal breakup or distortion. Klipsch’s lightweight, rigid Cerametallic™ cone material helps keep bass tight and well-controlled even at high drive levels.
The front-ported enclosure uses the same interlocking-panel construction found in Klipsch’s professional cinema speakers for structural rigidity, with premium internal wiring throughout. A professional-grade NL2 SpeakOn input provides a secure connection to the matching amplifier, and the cabinet is finished in Galaxy Black with a black anodized aluminum fascia. For extra-large rooms, the KA-1000-THX amplifier can drive a second KW-120-THX subwoofer for full THX Ultra2® certified output.

If the shipping box shows signs of physical damage, we recommend inspecting the product while the shipping company is present. Minor punctures or dents to the box do not often result in damage to the well-padded product inside, so a refusal of delivery is generally not necessary for minor box imperfections. However, should the product itself show signs of damage, it must be refused at the time of delivery for an RMA. Products not refused due to damage at the time of delivery will not be eligible for RMAs. To ensure your full rights to warranty and potential future claims, please have the delivery company note any box damage on file, even if the product itself appears undamaged.
