Heresy IV: First introduced in 1957, the Heresy started life as a compact center channel speaker for the Klipschorn in three-speaker stereo arrays. The Heresy is a compact, three-way design that uses horn-loaded compression drivers for midrange and treble reproduction and a direct radiating 12"woofer for the low frequencies.

3-Way Design: The Klipsch Heresy IV loudspeaker features a three-way design that uses horn-loaded compression drivers for midrange and treble reproduction, plus a direct radiating 12" woofer for the low frequencies.

• 1" Tractrix Horn Loaded Tweeter: The 1" titanium diaphragm compression driver (K-107-TI) is coupled to a Tractrix Horn for smoother high-end response with greater extension, enhanced imaging, and more powerful dynamics.
• 1.75" Tractrix Horn Loaded Midrange: The 1.75" polyimidediaphragm compression driver (K-702) is coupled with a horn for detailed, accurate midrange sound.
• 12" Fiber-Composite Cone Woofer: The 12" fiber-composite cone woofer (K-28-E) delivers powerful low frequencies. The 12" woofer also employs a treated cloth surround for added efficiency and flexibility.

Crossover Network: For signal purity and perfect driver integration, the crossover (HF: 4500Hz/MF: 850Hz) on the Heresy IV features the finest components and Klipsch custom internal wiring.

Rear Tractrix Port: The rear Tractrix port of the Heresy IV floorstanding loudspeaker is perfectly matched to the cabinet and woofer, creating ideal airflow with minimal distortion and turbulence even at the lowest frequencies. Klipsch Tractrix ports have custom designed inner flares that help reduce air turbulence entering the port. Less turbulent air helps reduce port noise for cleaner, more powerful bass.

Dual Binding Post Speaker Terminals: The Klipsch Heresy IV loudspeaker has two sets of binding posts connected by jumpers. Using the dual binding posts, you can bi-amp or bi-wire the speakers. The binding post terminals will accept banana plugs (single/dual), pin-connectors, spade-connectors, and bare wire.

• Bi-Wiring: Bi-wiring can provide noticeable improvements in the overall transparency of your loudspeakers. Run separate speaker wires to the low & high frequency drivers from a single amplifier (the upper set of binding posts are for the high frequency drivers; the lower set of binding posts are for the low frequency drivers).
• Bi-Amping: Bi-amping allows you to use separate amplifiers for the high & low frequency sections of your loudspeaker for greater dynamic range & lower distortion. We recommend that your separate amplifiers have identical gain to preserve the speaker's voicing balance.

Note: If you decide to bi-wire or bi-amp, you must remove the jumpers between the terminal posts (failure to do this could result in damage to your amplifier and loudspeakers).

Placement: The Klipsch Heresy IV loudspeaker will perform well in a variety of locations. Corner, floor placement will deliver the highest degree of low bass reinforcement and the pre-installed slant riser base helps to compensate for the Heresy's short stature. This riser may be removed for shelf or cabinet placement. Self-stick rubber pads are supplied for attachment to the bottom of the cabinet to prevent scratching of shelves and hard surfaces. Best results will be achieved using the following general guidelines.

• Place on a common wall 6' to 15' apart and position them equidistant from the wall behind the speakers.
• Angle speakers toward the listener and even with or forward of any adjacent obstructions.
• Placing them near a corner or wall provides the greatest amount of bass while moving the speakers away from room boundaries reduces bass.
• Asymmetrical placement of a pair of speakers from adjacent side walls can smooth room-induced bass unevenness.

Freight & Oversized Items

Some large or heavy products — including floor-standing speakers, large subwoofers, and TVs — ship via freight carrier rather than standard parcel courier. For these items:

• Delivery times may be longer than standard shipping; we’ll confirm an estimate with you before your order ships.
• Someone must be present to receive the delivery.
• Delivery is typically curbside/doorstep only — unpacking, setup, and installation are not included unless purchased separately or arranged through our showroom.

If freight charges for an oversized item are not already included in your order total, we will confirm the cost with you before shipping.

Shipping Damage Policy

If the shipping box shows signs of physical damage, we recommend inspecting the product while the shipping company is present. Minor punctures or dents to the box do not often result in damage to the well-padded product inside, so a refusal of delivery is generally not necessary for minor box imperfections. However, should the product itself show signs of damage, it must be refused at the time of delivery for an RMA. Products not refused due to damage at the time of delivery will not be eligible for RMAs. To ensure your full rights to warranty and potential future claims, please have the delivery company note any box damage on file, even if the product itself appears undamaged.
