The Heresy IV in a New Red Oak Finish
This is the new Red Oak finish of the Klipsch Heritage Heresy IV. Red Oak debuted at Audio Advice Live 2025 alongside the same finish on the Forte IV, and it gives Klipsch’s smallest three-way Heritage speaker a lighter, more contemporary look with a soft-gray heathered grille cloth in place of the standard grille used on the existing Walnut finish.
Three-Way Sound in Klipsch’s Smallest Heritage Cabinet
Underneath the new finish is the same Heresy IV that has become a go-to recommendation for customers who want genuine Klipsch horn sound in a compact cabinet. A 1" K-107-TI titanium compression tweeter and a 1.75" K-702 polyimide compression midrange on a Tractrix® horn handle the upper frequencies, while a 12" K-28-E fiber-composite woofer and a new rear-mounted Tractrix® port cover the low end, extending bass response roughly 10Hz lower than the outgoing Heresy III.
A Contemporary Twist on the Heritage Aesthetic
Klipsch designed the Red Oak finish as a nod to its 80th anniversary in 2026, pairing a lighter natural wood tone with a soft-gray heathered grille that reads noticeably more modern than the traditional grilles used elsewhere in the Heritage line. It is a distinct enough look that we recommend seeing a pair in person before deciding between Red Oak and the existing Walnut finish.

Does the Red Oak finish use a different grille than the Walnut Heresy IV?
Yes. Red Oak pairs with a new soft-gray heathered grille cloth rather than the standard grille used on the Walnut finish, giving the whole speaker a more contemporary look.
Can the Heresy IV be used on a stand instead of the floor?
Yes. Its compact size makes it well suited to Klipsch’s optional KS-12 stands for elevated, tweeter-height placement, in addition to sitting directly on the floor or on furniture.
