The Heresy IV in a New American Auburn Finish
This is the new American Auburn finish of the Klipsch Heritage Heresy IV. Auburn is a newly introduced wood veneer joining the Heresy IV’s existing Walnut finish, giving Klipsch’s smallest and most versatile three-way Heritage speaker a warmer, reddish-brown look without changing anything about its compact, room-friendly footprint.
Three-Way Sound in Klipsch’s Smallest Heritage Cabinet
The Heresy IV packs the same three-way, horn-loaded philosophy found in the rest of the Heritage lineup into a cabinet just under 25" tall. A 1" K-107-TI titanium compression tweeter and a 1.75" K-702 polyimide compression midrange on a Tractrix® horn handle the mid and high frequencies, while a 12" K-28-E fiber-composite woofer and a new rear-mounted Tractrix® port cover the low end. That new port design extends usable bass response roughly 10Hz lower than the outgoing Heresy III while keeping the cabinet compact enough to sit on a shelf, on the floor, or on Klipsch’s optional stands.
An All-New Crossover and Phase Plug
The ‘IV generation introduced an all-new high-fidelity crossover network for smoother driver integration, along with a wide-dispersion phase plug on the tweeter that widens the usable listening area — a meaningful improvement for a speaker often used in smaller rooms where listeners are not always sitting dead-center.

Every Heresy IV is hand-built to order in Hope, Arkansas, and the new American Auburn veneer follows the same book-matching process used across the Heritage line, with grain patterns mirrored across the pair.

Is American Auburn a limited-run color for the Heresy IV?
No, Auburn is a standard finish option offered alongside the existing Walnut finish, not a limited edition. As with all Heritage speakers, each Heresy IV pair is still built to order.
Can the Heresy IV be used on a stand instead of the floor?
Yes. Its compact size makes it well suited to Klipsch’s optional KS-12 stands for elevated, tweeter-height placement, in addition to sitting directly on the floor or on furniture.
How does the Heresy IV compare to the Forte IV?
The Heresy IV is the more compact of the two, using a single 12" woofer with a rear port versus the Forte IV’s 12" woofer plus 15" passive radiator. The Forte IV extends lower in the bass and has a larger footprint, while the Heresy IV is easier to fit into smaller rooms or on a stand.
