The Forte IV in a New Red Oak Finish
This is the new Red Oak finish of the Klipsch Heritage Forte IV. Red Oak is one of the newest finishes in the entire Heritage lineup, first shown publicly at Audio Advice Live 2025 alongside a soft-gray heathered grille cloth, and it gives the Forte IV a noticeably lighter, more contemporary look than the existing American Walnut and Satin Black Ash options.
A Three-Way Design Built to Rock
Underneath the new finish, this is the same Forte IV that has become a favorite among Klipsch fans who want horn-loaded dynamics in a more compact tower than the Cornwall IV. The 1" K-100-TI titanium tweeter and 1.75" K-702 polyimide midrange are both horn-loaded, paired with a 12" K-281 fiber-composite woofer and a 15" KD-15 passive radiator that delivers tight, extended bass without needing a tuned port. At 99 dB sensitivity, it is an easy amplifier load, and the revoiced crossover carried over from Klipsch’s flagship models keeps the midrange smooth even at higher volumes.
A Contemporary Twist on the Heritage Aesthetic
Red Oak was designed as a nod to Klipsch’s 80th anniversary in 2026, pairing a lighter natural wood tone with a soft-gray heathered grille cloth that reads more modern than the traditional black or salt-and-pepper grilles used on other Heritage finishes. It is a distinct enough look that we recommend seeing it in person — photos tend to undersell how different it looks against Walnut or Black Ash in a room.

Yes. Red Oak pairs with a new soft-gray heathered grille cloth rather than the standard grille used on the Walnut and Black Ash finishes, giving the whole speaker a more contemporary look.
How does the Forte IV compare to the Heresy IV?
The Forte IV is the larger of the two, with a 12" woofer and 15" passive radiator versus the Heresy IV’s single 12" direct-radiating woofer, giving the Forte IV deeper bass extension and a larger footprint.
