The Cornwall IV in a New American Auburn Finish
This is the new American Auburn finish of the Klipsch Heritage Cornwall IV. Auburn joins the Cornwall IV’s existing American Walnut, Satin Black Ash and Natural Cherry finishes as the newest wood tone option on what has long been Klipsch’s most room-friendly three-way Heritage floorstander — tall and narrow enough to work as a true floorstander in rooms where a Klipschorn or La Scala would simply not fit.
A Three-Way Horn-Loaded Design Built for Real Living Rooms
The Cornwall IV pairs a 1" K-107-TI titanium compression tweeter and a 1.75" K-702 polyimide compression midrange — both horn-loaded — with a direct-radiating 15" K-33-E fiber-composite woofer and rear-firing bass ports. That combination gives the Cornwall the horn-loaded clarity and 102 dB sensitivity Klipsch is known for in the mids and highs, while the larger direct-radiating woofer and dual ports handle low-frequency extension down to 34Hz without the footprint of a corner horn.
Updated Midrange Horn and Ported Bass Tuning
The ‘IV generation carried over an updated midrange compression driver mated to a new Tractrix®-profile midrange horn, along with revised bass ports tuned for deeper, cleaner low-frequency output than earlier Cornwall generations. The result is a speaker that still sounds unmistakably like a Klipsch horn design up top, with a fuller, more extended low end underneath.
Book-Matched Auburn Veneer, Built to Order
Like every Heritage Series speaker, the Cornwall IV in American Auburn is hand-built to order in Hope, Arkansas, with book-matched veneer leaves cut from the same piece of timber and arranged to mirror at the seam. Auburn’s reddish-brown tone sits between the warmth of Walnut and the richness of Cherry, giving customers a genuinely new option rather than a minor variation on an existing finish.

Is American Auburn a permanent finish option or a limited run?
Auburn is a standard finish option Klipsch has added to the Cornwall IV lineup alongside Walnut, Black Ash and Cherry, not a limited-edition run. As with all Heritage speakers, each pair is still built to order rather than pulled from stock, so lead times can vary.
How does the Cornwall IV compare to the Forte IV and Heresy IV?
All three share the same horn-loaded tweeter/midrange philosophy, but the Cornwall IV is the tallest and uses a larger 15" direct-radiating woofer for deeper bass extension, the Forte IV uses a 12" woofer plus a 15" passive radiator, and the Heresy IV is the smallest with a 12" woofer in a compact bookshelf-style cabinet on a stand or floor. Room size and desired bass extension are usually what decides between them.
Can the Cornwall IV be bi-amped?
Yes. The rear panel has dual sets of binding posts, so the Cornwall IV supports both bi-wiring and bi-amping for customers running separate amplifier channels to the high and low sections.
