High Current Integrated Amplifier: Denon engineers carefully constructed the PMA-900HNE's amplifier circuit to secure a frequency response of up to 100kHz. Then Denon PMA-900HNE employs an Advanced High Current (AHC) Single Push-Pull circuit power amplifier that delivers powerful sound and high musical fidelity. Engineered with premium Denon amplifier technology and Advanced High Current (AHC) capability, the PMA-900HNE has ample power and capability to drive your 8 ohm or 4 ohm loudspeakers.
- 8-Ohm Rating: 50 watts x 2 channel at 20Hz to 20kHz with 0.07% THD
- 4-Ohm Rating: 80 watts x 2 channel at 1kHz with 0.7% THD
Carefully Selected Parts: The integrated amp features carefully selected hi-fi parts and dedicated circuitry with short, straight paths between power supply, signal, and amplification to deliver a premium audio experience.
- High Precision Volume Circuit: The PMA-900HNE incorporates an electrical volume control while preserving the analog feel of operation. The unique mechanism offers a smooth and linear control of the master volume. The volume circuit also suppresses noise in the amplifier, achieving sonic resolution.
- Main Transformer with Individual Wiring: Separate coiled wires for the audio and control circuits of the PMA-900HNE's main power transformer eliminates interference and maintains exceptional sound quality.
- Signal Level Divided Construction (SLDC): The audio circuit uses the Signal Level Divided Construction (SLDC) chassis developed by Denon to ensure that delicate musical signals are faithfully amplified and transmitted to the speakers.
- Vibration-Resistant Design: The integrated amp's vibration-resistant design reduces the adverse audio effects of heavy components within amplifiers resulting in pristine sound quality that meets Denon standards.
Tone Controls: The Denon PMA-900HNE offers Bass, Treble, & Balance control. Bass (100Hz) and Treble (10kHz) can be adjusted from -8dB to +8dB. The Balance knob allows you to adjust the volume output from the left and right speakers. Source Direct mode the bypasses the integrated amp's tone adjustment circuitry (Bass/Treble/Balance), resulting in playback of higher sound quality for analog and digital audio sources.
24-Bit/192kHz DAC: The Denon PMA-900HNE integrated amplifier utilizes a 24-bit/192kHz DAC for high-resolution audio playback; supporting hi-res PCM, WAV, FLAC, and ALAC audio files (up to 24-bit/192kHz), as well as DSD music files (up to 5.6MHz).
USB-A Input: The Denon integrated amplifier is equipped with a rear-panel USB (type-A) port that allows you to enjoy a variety of music files from a USB mass storage class memory device; such as a USB thumbdrive or portable HDD (a portable hard disk drive will require an external power supply). Compatible USB storage devices must be formatted in FAT 16 or FAT32 (a FAT16 device can have up to 2GB of storage, while a FAT32 device can have up to 2TB of storage). The unit can recognize up to 500 folders/500 files. You can use the network audio player's remote control to navigate your stored music files on your connected USB memory device. Song/artist information will display the network audio players front-panel LCD. USB devices that can be charged via USB will be charged when plugged into the network audio player's USB port (5V/1A); even in standby mode.
Note: The network audio player's USB-A port is not compatible with Apple iPod/iPhone/iPad, Android OS devices, USB hubs, and computers.
Optical & Coaxial Digital Inputs: The PMA-900HNE features three optical (Toslink) digital inputs and one Coaxial (RCA) digital input that support 2ch PCM signals up to 192kHz/24-bit. Linear PCM signals (16- or 24-bit) with a sampling frequency of 32, 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, or 192 kHz can be input into this unit. These digital inputs help to improve sound and visual quality of your TV audio, Blu-Ray, media players and more. You can also use these digital inputs for high-resolution sound from an audio source on your computer.
Analog Line-Level Inputs & Output: The Denon PMA-900HNE is outfitted with three line-level, stereo RCA inputs labeled "CD", "Aux", and "Recorder". Use these analog line-level inputs to connect legacy devices, such as a CD player or tape deck. Audio signals input into this unit can be output to an external recording device, using the integrated amp's stereo line-level RCA outputs. When recording audio from a playback device connected to this unit, audio can be recorded with the playback device still connected to the integrated amplifier.
Phono MM/MC Input: The Denon PMA-900HNE's Phono input and built-in Phono equalizer allows direct connection of a turntable with a MM (moving magnet) or MC (moving coil) cartridge. This phono equalizer has high gain, and unlike loops in other circuit board patterns which cause adverse effects on sound quality, the simple, straightforward design of the PMA-900HNE phono equalizer significantly improves sound.
Built-in Bluetooth: The Denon PMA-900HNE features built-in Bluetooth 4.2 with a 98.4' wireless range for music streaming (A2DP 1.2) and control (AVRCP 1.5). You'll be able to wirelessly connect to smartphones (including iPhone & Android), tablets (including iPad & Android), laptops (including Microsoft Surface & Macbook), computers (including Windows PC & Mac), and other Bluetooth-enabled devices. Up to eight Bluetooth devices can be remembered by the PMA-900HNE, so family members as well as friends can enjoy their favorite tracks (only one device can be used at a time).
- Wireless Music Streaming: You'll be able to wirelessly stream stored music, music apps, and other audio content from your Bluetooth-enabled source device to the Denon integrated amplifier. The integrated amplifier supports the Bluetooth SBC codec only.
- Wireless Music Control: You will also be able to control basic playback functions (Play/Pause, FF/RW, Skip) using the integrated amplifier's remote control. Advanced music operation will still need to be handled from your Bluetooth-enable device. There is no song/artist information display on the integrated amplifier. Continue to use your Bluetooth device's screen to view song/artist info.
A & B Binding Post Speaker Terminals: Equipped with A & B speaker terminals, the PMA-9000HNE can drive two pairs of speakers, or it can be connected to one pair of bi-wire compatible speakers, with one set of terminals for the low range drivers and the other set connected to the high range drivers The PMA-900HNE is outfitted with eight binding post terminals for long life and optimum signal transfer integrity. The binding posts will accept bare-wire (up to 10AWG), pin-connectors, and banana plugs (single or dual). Use 4 to 8-ohm speakers when powering only one pair of speakers. Use 8-ohm speakers when powering two pair of speakers.
Subwoofer Output: The PMA-900HNE integrated amplifier is outfitted with a mono-subwoofer output for connection of a powered subwoofer (sold separately). The subwoofer output has a fixed 100Hz low pass crossover filter.
Headphone Output: The Denon PMA-900HNE is equipped with a front-panel 1/4" headphone jack for connecting a set of headphone so you can enjoy your music privately. When headphones are plugged into the integrated amp's headphone jack, audio will no longer be output from the amplifier's connected speakers or subwoofer output.
